The Chicago Bulls and Minnesota Timberwolves will head to Canada this Saturday to play against each other at the MTS Centre, with both teams looking for a win after losing in their previous games.

Chicago was defeated 112–94 last Thursday by the Denver Nuggets, with the latter being led by second-year forward Joffrey Lauvergne who surprised everyone scoring 18 points.

The Bulls, still without stars Derrick Rose and Pau Gasol, were paced by power forward Nikola Mirotić who had 18 points, four rebounds, one assist, and two steals.

Second-year forward Doug McDermott again had another great game scoring 15 points, also tallying four rebounds and two assists.

Before the loss, the Bulls defeated the Milwaukee Bucks 105–95 last Tuesday at the United Center in Chicago.

The Bulls are recently facing a familiar situation as Rose, the 2011 Most Valuable Player (MVP), is again sidelined after suffering an orbital fracture during their first practice in training camp, although the timetable for his return is just two weeks.

Another issue surrounding the Bulls is the reported tension between Rose and budding guard Jimmy Butler who already denied the reports in the offseason.

Meanwhile, the Timberwolves were dominated by the Oklahoma City Thunder 122–99 in their preseason opener, which saw former MVP Kevin Durant make his return from a foot injury.

The Timberwolves were led by the number one overall pick in the 2015 Draft, center Karl Anthony-Towns, who had an impressive debut filling in the stat sheet with 18 points, five rebounds, one assist, two steals, and two blocks.

Another young center in Gorgui Dieng also tallied 18 points, with four rebounds, and three assists to help Minnesota in a losing effort.

Timberwolves guard Zach LaVine, who was named as the new starter at the number two position for the 2015–16 season, had eight points, three assists, and two steals in the game.

The game between the Bulls and Timberwolves will take place on Saturday, Oct.10, starting at 8 p.m. EST. To watch via live stream, click here.
