The Chicago Bulls have been eliminated from the NBA playoffs but it seems that a lot of people took notice of the sidelights of the game 6 tiff between the Bulls and the Cleveland Cavaliers.

There is rumored tension brewing between Derrick Rose and Jimmy Butler and such was something that seems to have escalated during game 6. Tensions between the two Bulls have reportedly been building and such a development is surely something that is not good news for Chicago.

Butler is expected to get max contract offers after this season but the Bulls are bound to try and keep him. But this understanding was before the said tension came into play.

Butler, this year's Most Improved Player, has proven he can score and pick up the slack. In fact he did that for the large part of time that Rose was in sick bay. And now with Rose back in harness, it seems that both are having problems trying to co-exist.

Butler is being eyed by several teams and if this issue remains unsolved, it could mean the departure of the rising NBA player. He could be a Laker, a Knick or even a Heat - just a few of the many teams set on courting Butler once free agency kicks off in July.

The Bulls may have a hard time keeping both Rose and Butler. Aside from the reported tension, there is the issue of the salary cap space. Both carry high payrolls so it remains if the Bulls have ample space to accommodate both. From the looks of it, Butler is unlikely to settle for anything less.

Would it all boil down to a choice between Rose and Butler? There is a chance and one has to think on who the Bulls would side on? Would they side with a proven player and former Most Valuable Player in Derrick Rose or a young and promising star in Butler?

The Bulls management is sitting on pins and needles right now. Aside from this supposed feud, there is the status of Tom Thibodeau that needs ironing out.
