The 50th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards aimed for a world record attendance. The awards show welcomed 55,000 fans to the AT&T Stadium in Dallas and they were successful in achieving the record for the biggest live awards show ever.

However, while the fans were gleefully in attendance and the best country musicians enjoyed the event, there's one usual face that wasn't seen in the crowd. ACM award winner Carrie Underwood was nowhere in sight. Her absence raised some questions as to why she wasn't at the biggest and most special event for the ACM yet.

Since giving birth, Underwood has not made a public appearance. She gave birth in February 27 to his son Isaiah Michael Fisher with husband Michael Fisher, a professional hockey player for the Nashville Predators. The last sighting of Underwood was last April 15 during the Preds playoff game where she posted a photo of herself wearing Preds gear during the game and captioned it, "Lets.Do.This."

Underwood has always been present in the ACM Awards shows, and there are a number of speculations surrounding her absence in the recent event. For one, Fisher reportedly suffered an injury earlier and Underwood may have chosen to stay at home and take care of her husband and baby. Another speculation is that she may be battling weight issues due to pregancy and childbirth. Still, according to The Inquisitr, the singer shared that she continues to work out and be physically active.

"I still make it a point to be very active. Doing something, hiking, going for a run, lifting weights, boxing, doing things like that. It makes me feel good. It is great to do something for me, and that is something for me. I think that women should make time. A little time, 20 minutes, 30 minutes," she said.

Underwood was nominated for three categories, namely Vocal Event of the Year, Video of the Year, and Female Vocalist of the Year. She didn't win any award that night. However, she has won 11 awards all-in-all in the ACM Awards.
