'Captain America 3' movie: Will Hawkeye appear in movie? Jeremy Renner doesn't know

"Captain America 3" is in the works, but will Hawkeye be a part of the movie this time around? Directors of "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" felt sad that they couldn't include Hawkeye in the movie. So maybe this time, Jeremy Renner will be part of the third sequel... then again, maybe not.

There have been reports pointing to Hawkeye joining The Cap in the third movie. But when Renner was asked by The Daily Beast if he would be, he said, "I don't know what's going to happen. I know it's going to start shooting in March. I haven't had any official conversations about doing it or not."

It looks like Renner and Marvel Studio's haven't talked about it yet.

Cinema Blend suggests their own theory on why the actor hasn't talked about his role in "Captain America 3." Right now, he is busy promoting his movie "Kill the Messenger" and maybe, Marvel Studios wants him to focus on that at the moment. After "Kill the Messenger," perhaps that's when Marvel will talk about his involvement in "Captain America 3."

But why doesn't Renner know anything about it yet? Marvel Studios may not have divulged information to him yet. Seeing that he has been busy working on "The Avengers: Age of Ultron" and "Missions Impossible 5," the actor is in pretty good shape. So, it won't be a big adjustment if, suddenly, Marvel tells him to suit up as Hawkeye for "Captain America 3."

"Captain America 3" will be written by Stephen McFeely and Christopher Markus. They also penned the first two movies. As for Chris Evans, he will reprise his role as Steve Rogers, a.k.a. Captain America. Sebastian Stan will also reprise his role as Bucky Barnes, a.k.a. The Winter Soldier.

"Captain America 3" will hit theaters on May 6, 2016.
