'Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare' update, release date news: New details to be revealed at the 2016 SDCC panel

Infinite Ward

Activision will headline the "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" at the upcoming San Diego Comic-Con later this month.

The game studio and Infinity Ward will hold a 60-minute panel that will showcase several behind-the-scenes footages in the upcoming "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" video game. According to the press release, the people behind the game will reveal new details about the soon-to-be released first-person shooter game before it comes out on November 4.

The "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" panel is scheduled on July 21 at room 6BCF at the San Diego Convention Center.

Some of the panelists who will present the upcoming game includes Infinity Ward's narrative director, Taylor Kurosaki, and director of photography Jeff Negus, as well as cast members Brian Bloom, Jamie Gray Hyder, David Harewood and Jeffrey Nordling.

Those who will attend the panel will be able to receive a rare, hand-numbered edition of the "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" lithograph poster drawn by artist Matt Taylor and produced by Mondo.

The game studio has yet to reveal if they will livestream the event for those who will not be able to attend this year's San Diego Comic Con.

Before the upcoming panel event dedicated to the latest installment from the "Call of Duty" franchise, several members of the game development team from Infinity Ward already revealed several teasers about the game in an interview with Game Informer.

According to design director Jacob Minkoff, the upcoming game will feature old-school, hardcore missions.

"Like when you start out on Earth, it's exactly old-school, Modern Warfare boots on ground. As you move into space, in low-g environments, in zero-g environments, in other planets, we give you what we call a boost rig, which has RCS thrusters on it," Minkoff said. "That's when you also get access to the grapple."

"Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" will come out for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on Nov. 4.
