"Better Call Saul" has featured returning characters from "Breaking Bad," of which it serves as a prequel and spin-off to the latter. Actor Bryan Cranston, who played the lead character Walter White in "Breaking Bad," now reveals that this tradition will continue in "Better Call Saul" season 3.

According to Uproxx, Cranston was on his book tour, promoting his autobiography, "A Life in Parts," when he confirmed that he visited the set of "Better Call Saul" season 3 to get together with the cast and crew, many of which he had worked with in "Breaking Bad."

"There will be another new character coming on the show that you will recognize," the actor had stated. Unfortunately, he did not give any clue on who might be popping up in season 3.

Screen Crush points out that it is unlikely Cranston is referring to himself as it is still too early for Walter White to appear on "Better Call Saul." This may play out in a future season when the events of "Better Call Saul" start intersecting with the events in "Breaking Bad."

This may also mean that Aaron Paul is not going to make a cameo appearance as Jesse Pinkman in season 3. Jesse was Walter White's partner and was also the one who introduced Saul Goodman to Walter White. However, Jesse only knew of Saul after the latter had built his reputation as a defense lawyer for criminals, which makes season 3 too early for him to appear.

It is widely rumored that season 3 will see Giancarlo Esposito reprise his role as Gustavo Fring, given that the episode titles of season 2 spelled the phrase "Fring's Back." Cranston did not confirm or deny if his statement referred to this possibility.

No official premiere date has been announced for "Better Call Saul" season 3, although the show is expected to premiere in February or March 2017, based on the premiere of the previous two seasons.
