Viewers who are eagerly looking forward to Catherine (Kristin Kreuk) and Vincent's (Jay Ryan) wedding are in for a major letdown as it may not push through in the upcoming episode CW's hit series "Beauty and the Beast" season 3.

In "Shotgun Wedding," Cartermatt reports that the much-awaited occasion may be postponed, as Cat cannot help but worry that the superhuman experiments will wreck their big day. Meanwhile, Vincent, JT (Austin Basis), and Tess (Nina Lisandrello) will try to keep her focused on the preparations. However, it appears they will be fighting a losing battle as disaster looms at every corner.

Last episode, the engaged couple was seen running away from an assassin determined to hunt them down. In order to save their loved ones, Cat and Vincent tried to lure the danger out of the city by saying that they were eloping. Vincent did not want to, preferring to say their vows in front of families and friends, but Cat was adamant to go. She said it would not even be official unless they file the paperworks.

Elsewhere, JT got fed up of being under the custody of the police. He asked Tess to help him find another trail to the investigation by seeking out a new lead. Tess, for her part, was promoted as the new captain, and it irked her that she would not be able to help Cat and Vincent as freely as she would have wanted to. She also broke many viewers' hearts after breaking up with JT and moving out of their apartment.

Meanwhile, TV Line reports that an old character will return for at least one episode for season 4. Evan Marks, portrayed by Max Brown, was the medical examiner who died on the first season of the series. He got much publicity after being tagged as "Cat's morgue crush."

But how could he make a comeback? Fashion & Style predicts Evan may be appearing only in a flashback. But with CW, anything can happen.

"Beauty and the Beast" airs Thursday at 8 p.m. EST.
