Audio Adrenaline, the Christian rock band from the 80s, has just released a brand-new album called "Sound of the Saints."

New lead singer Adam Agee said their music might sound different this time around, but the purpose behind it will always be the same.

"Spreading the Gospel is the goal. We hope everyone who hears our music on the radio, on the album, or at a show hears the Gospel. I hope our music and lives can inspire, encourage, and challenge people to be unafraid to live out their faith," he told Breathe Cast in an interview.

Audio Adrenaline has been known to change musical styles from record to record, and Agee said that they have continued that trend. With their new album, they tried to record songs that captures both the newest generation of AA fans as well as the band's long-time supporters.

He even called it "surreal" the way fans respond to their songs. Agee said there's no feeling quite like it. "It's fun to see the crowd respond to these tunes and I believe our joy in playing them shines through during the show," he said.

Given the band's history and huge number of fans, there is a huge pressure for members of the band to create songs that would really leave a lasting impact on people. But Agee explained that they do not have a "Jesus quota" when writing, and they simply pray and ask God for the right inspiration for the songs.

"Sometimes a song says 'Jesus Loves Me' and sometimes it says 'He's Got the Whole World in His Hands.' These songs mean the same thing to me, just stated differently," he said.
