Arsenal come into this game having picked up a little momentum in their season after a lackluster start. The Gunners lost their opening game against Liverpool, and then only managed a draw against Leicester.

However, since then Arsenal have gone on to win their last two games, which should give them some confidence coming into today's big game.

PSG meanwhile have done quite the opposite; having won their opening two games in the French top division, they have gone on to lose to Monaco, and could only manage a frustrating 1-1 draw against Saint Etienne last Friday.

PSG seem to still be finding their feet after the departure of striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic who moved on to Manchester United in the summer. In addition, PSG have seen a change at the top, with Unai Emery taking over as manager for this season.

Arsenal boss Wenger has spoken ahead of today's game and pointed out what a loss Zlatan Ibrahimovic is to the French champs: "They will be continue to be the dominant team in France but they lost more than a player with Ibrahimovic. He was the leader, the captain, a charismatic carrier of the ambition of the club and it's always difficult to measure, when you lose a player of that stature, how big the damage is."

He added, "At the moment they have also changed managers so they are trying to find their feet at the moment."

In one of today's other big games, Scottish side Celtic will travel to the Nou Camp to take on Spanish giants Barcelona.

In team news ahead of the big game, Celtic skipper Scott Brown has been passed fit and will be included in the starting 11. Brown had suffered an injury during Celtic's game against Rangers on Saturday, but it is believed he has recovered satisfactorily to be included in today's massive clash.

However, Celtic will be unable to call upon forward Leigh Griggiths, who is still out with a hamstring injury.

Meanwhile, Barcelona rested their big trio of Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Andres Iniesta at the weekend, and all three are set to be recalled to the side for their Champions League opener.

Messi, Suarez and Iniesta were all left on the bench in their team's 1-2 defeat to Alaves at the weekend. As their side struggled, all three were brought on as substitutes, but they were unable to get Barca back into the game against the newly promoted side.

Celtic assistant manager Chris Davies has said, "If you lose at home, it is not nice, and it does add a bit of pressure to the next game. That is just a reality, and they will admit that themselves."

He added, "We can take a lot of confidence into this game. We had a pre-season game against them, which was probably good for us, to give them a feel for being around their players."

He concluded, "And we are in great form. I have no doubt Barcelona will respect the level we are going to bring. We do take confidence into the game and hopefully we can grow into it and win some points. The level of our play, the goals we are scoring, how creative and organized we are looking, we are confident we can go anywhere and get points. That is what we are taking into the game."
