The Apple Watch 2 is still unannounced, but the wearable device's first iteration has been in the market for almost a year now and many are looking forward to its successor. The big question right now is, will it be seen this coming Monday? Even Siri doesn't know.

There are several rumors circulating concerning the unveiling of the Apple Watch 2. One rumor states that it will not be seen this month, next month or the following month, but farther out during the year.

Another widely circulating rumor is the statement made by Barry Lam, the chairman of Quanta, the company that manufactured the first Apple Watch. Many believe that the company will also produce the second watch.

According to Macworld, Lam announced a release window for the upcoming watch during an investors meeting. Lam reportedly claimed that there will be limited number of Apple Watch 2 units by the end of the second quarter of this year, and production will only be able to put out more in the market by the third quarter.

The third rumor is that the Apple Watch 2 may be unveiled in June during Apple's Worldwide Developers Conference or WWDC 2016, together with the iOS 10. Another possible date is in September, during the rumored iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus product launch, as TechRadar reported.

Specs-wise, the Apple Watch 2 is said to be able to handle better native apps, has a standalone Wi-Fi connection and is able to make Face Time audio calls. Rumor has it that users can also watch videos and reply to emails. Many are expecting the upcoming smartwatch to be more independent from the iPhone. It is also expected to have an updated processor, probably an ARM Cortex-A32, better batter life, round face, Android OS compatibility and additional sensors such as GPS.

More variants are also expected from the rumored watch on top of the Sports, Steel and Edition models. New materials may also be possible for its casing, such as platinum, titanium and LiquidMetal, as TechRadar added in the report.

The Apple event, "Let us loop you in," will happen on March 21 at 10 a.m. PST or 1 p.m. EST.
