Anna Duggar, wife of Josh Duggar from "19 Kids and Counting," is known to be a homeschool mom. But was it a personal decision that she made to educate her children herself, or was it something that was thrust upon her after marrying Josh?

According to a post she made on the Duggar Family Blog, it is a little bit of both.

"After high school, I did an online Christian college program in early child education, but what has helped me the most has been taking advice from my mom, my mother-in-law, and other homeschooling veterans," Anna wrote. "It's great to learn from other women who are further down the road. I find women with teenage children who love the Lord or grandchildren who love the Lord, and I seek to learn from them."

What Anna has learned throughout the years is that each family is different, and the techniques applied by a certain family do not guarantee success for all.

"It's also important to realize that just because something worked for one family, that doesn't mean it's going to work for you," she said.

Patience is very important in homeschooling children, and Anna previously admitted that it's not something that comes naturally to her. Whenever she feels overwhelmed by her children and the tasks ahead, the Christian mother says she relies on God.

"When I feel that frustration rising, I remind myself to stop and breathe and pray. I ask God how He would handle the situation. If we humble ourselves and go to God for wisdom, He will be there to answer us," she shared.

There were times when Anna would try to figure things out her way, but in the end, she has learned that trusting God is still the best option. "There have been times when I have tried to figure things out on my own, but when we try to do things our way, it usually does not turn out the way we thought it would. You will never regret humbling yourself and asking for God's wisdom," she said.
