Valeria Lukyanova has some competition. A new "human Barbie," Alina Kovalevskaya, is receiving international attention.

Kovalevskaya, like Lukyanova, is from the Ukraine, but insists that she has not had any plastic surgery to achieve her doll-like look.

The 21-year-old said she was inspired after looking at pictures of ball-jointed dolls 18 months ago.

"I really liked the image of these dolls," she told Barcroft TV in a translated interview.

"I decided to try it for myself and bought big eye contact lenses. When I put them on, my friends told me, 'Oh my God, you look like a doll, you really do!'"

Kovalevskaya agrees with them.

"I look like a doll," she said. "I like big eyes, little nose, small plump lips. I love long hair, my hair is a meter long."

The psychology and social work student completes her look by maintaining fair skin.

"During the day I do not really like to be [at the beach] as I do not sunbathe; I don't like to tan."

Kovalevskaya has over 27,000 followers on European social network VK, and thousands more followers on YouTube and Facebook. Her growing popularity led to a brief friendship with the other "Human Barbie," Valeria Lukyanova, but the two have parted ways.

"I have had certain misunderstandings with her, after which she ceased to communicate," Kovalevskaya said. "I realized that she is not a person with whom I would like to talk or even be friends."

The newest "living doll" is currently single, and described what she is looking for in a partner.

"First and foremost I appreciate cleverness in men," she said. "For me it is most important that my boyfriend is intelligent, charismatic, purposeful, and kind."

The "Human Ken doll," Justin Jedlica, has not released a comment regarding the newest Human Barbie.
