'Agents of SHIELD' season 2 cast spoilers: Simon Kassianides to join as Bakshi

The cast of "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." were in attendance at the latest San Diego Comic-Con, where they hinted a few things about the upcoming season.

A new character is expected to be joining the show. Deadline confirmed that Simon Kassianides will be joining the ABC drama "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." in season 2. He will play Bakshi, who is described to be "a confident right-hand man who's not afraid to do the dirty work." Bakshi will be a recurring character in the show.

Hearing the words "dirty work" sounds like the agents will have a tough road ahead in season 2. Here are some of the theories that might happen in the new season, according to IBT.

Based on Bakshi's description, he doesn't sound like a good guy at all. In fact, he might be one of the surviving Hydra agents and he might just try to infiltrate the government and try to establish Hydra again. Also, Bakshi might corrupt S.H.I.E.L.D. too.

Aside from Bakshi, there are other possible new Hydra threats this season. Skye's father is one of them. Skye's father, although not clearly seen yet in the show, is looking for his daughter. Good luck with that since Skye pretty much erased every info on herself.

With Coulson busy rebuilding the new S.H.I.E.L.D., he will be working with new agents as well. At Comic-Con, executive producer Jed Whedon told Seat42F that Coulson will work with people who aren't really his first choice. "This season he's going to go in knowing that he has to work with people he doesn't necessarily trust," says Whedon.

Speaking of new agents, there will be new cast members to join the cast as well. IBT reported that Lucy Lawless, Nick Blood, Reed Diamond will join the cast as Isabelle Hartley, Lance Hunter and Daniel Whitehall, respectively. Mockingbird is also a new character, but an actor has not been cast for the role yet.

Marvel's "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." season 2 returns September 23, at 9 p.m. on ABC.
