There are a lot of reasons why we put out trust in authorities. When we face problems with crime, we call the police. When we have problems with education, we have teachers. When we have problems with our relationships, we ask our trusted counsellor. These and many other situations simply show that we put our trust in man because we think of them as "experts" in what they do.

One reality, however, is that our God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, is all-knowing and all-powerful. He knows all things and has the power to do all that man cannot do in order to fix our predicaments and solve our problems. Yes, He is able to do that, but more than that, He is also very trustworthy.

Are you looking for reasons to trust God for everything? Here are some reasons why He is more trustworthy than any man.

1. He is everlasting

Isaiah 40:28 says, "Have you never heard? Have you never understood? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of all the earth. He never grows weak or weary. No one can measure the depths of his understanding."

God has been here long before any human was, and will always be here long after the last man has gone. His power is immeasurable and He never grows weak. There is no problem or predicament we can throw at Him to make Him feel unable to solve it. He is simply able to solve every problem at any time, all the time.

2. His ways are higher than ours

God said in Isaiah 55:8-9, "My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts," says the Lord. "And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine. For just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so my ways are higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts."

Simply put, God's ways are higher, way better, and more effective than any way known to man, regardless of the field of expertise. God simply knows better than all men combined!

We can take all the brightest minds from all the universities in the world and combine them into one, but still we won't be able to match that with the vast knowledge and wisdom that our God possesses.

3. He is good and is for us

Romans 8:31-32 encourages us, "What shall we say about such wonderful things as these? If God is for us, who can ever be against us? Since he did not spare even his own Son but gave him up for us all, won't he also give us everything else?"

We can trust God because He loves us and is for us. He gave up His one and only Son Jesus Christ for us to be saved, and if He was able to do that, what hinders Him from doing all the good that He can and wants to do to and for us? Because of the Lord Jesus Christ, we now have a clear and tangible reason why we should trust God for everything: because God is for us – with no strings attached.
