The 2017 Porsche Panamera has been redesigned from the ground up to something as powerful, if not more so, than its main competitors such as the BMW M5 and the Audi RS7. As stated in a report from the Daily Sun, the changes and updates make the 2017 model a better vehicle than its previous models, which were often considered as the weaker offerings from the Porsche line-up.

Unlike previous models, the lighter materials and redesigns have made the 2017 Porsche Panamera faster and more powerful than before. With its new MSB platform, the vehicle has lost approximately 220 pounds from the previous model and is now 20 percent more efficient. Its engine can push up to 550 HP while the Turbo S trim goes up to 600 HP.

This would place it in league with its competitors. As noted in the report, the BMW M5 is capable of pushing up to 575 HP while the Audi RS7 is capable of 560 HP that can be tuned up to a maximum of 605 HP. 

As stated by Motor Authority, the interiors have been redesigned ever so slightly to make 2017 Panamera a more suitable choice for luxury car owners. There are now two large cup holders instead of one, and the center now has an arm rest for the driver, making it more comfortable for long drives.

On the outside, the 2017 Porsche Panamera retains the four-door sedan design, with a slight hunch to its rear, As stated in a report from Auto Evolution, the vehicle has a sleeker look with its longer hood, simpler front face and rounder back edges. 

It is also revealed that the new vehicle is expected to make its proper debut later this year during the Paris Motor Show, which is traditionally held in October or September. Like with previous models, the standard trim may be available as soon as then, but higher trims may not become available until the weeks and months that follow.
