The 2016 Acura NSX will be one of the cars to be showcased at the upcoming Monterey Automotive Week.

The event, which usually plays host to a number of the world's finest collector cars, will be opening its doors for the 2016 Acura NSX when it stops by Pebble Beach. This year, Monterey Automotive Week will be running from Aug. 11-16, according to Torque News.

As of now, the specifics of the 2016 Acura NSX's appearance at the event are still up in the air, especially with there being over 200 other cars expected to be present for the proceedings.

In previous years, some of the headliner cars at the event were taken to the road and demonstrated for the crowd, and that stands as a distinct possibility for what may be on the docket for the 2016 Acura NSX.

Aside from its planned appearance at Monterey Automotive Week, the 2016 Acura NSX has also been spotted on the road in several places over recent months, according to Car Scoops. The car has been taken on a North American tour in order to gauge its performance better and also to capture the reactions of people who happen to catch a glimpse of it as it drives by.

Not a lot of details have been revealed about the car at this point, but some of its features have been outlined.

The 2016 Acura NSX is said to have a twin-turbocharged V6 engine combined with nine-speed dual-clutch transmission. The car also has three electric motors, each with its own specific purpose to improve the overall functionality. One of the engines is dedicated to powering the V6's crankshaft, while the other two are designed to control the front and rear wheels to achieve full four-wheel drive, according to Digital Trends.

The car has also been equipped with 10 heat exchanges in order to promote better cooling for when the engines have to be overworked.

As of now, the 2016 Acura NSX does not have an announced release date.
