2014 Macbook Pro, Air release date soon as new deals, discounts emerged this week

The 2014 MacBook Pro and Mac Book Air release dates may come soon as new deals and discounts for the previous models have emerged online.

Retailers Adorama and B&H Photo are selling the 13-inch 2014 Retina MacBook Pro with an 2.6GHz processor, 8GB RAM and 256GB storage for $1,379 and the the 15-inch Retina Macbook Pro with 2.0GHz, 8GB RAM, and 256GB storage costs $1,599 -- the two have been priced up to approximately $2,000.

The 11.6-inch Macbook Air with 1.4GHz, 4GB RAM, and 128GB storage is $799. The 13-inch MacBook Air with 1.4GHz, 4GB RAM, and 128GB storage costs $999.

This is not the first time the laptops have received major discounts. Retailer Best Buy reduced the price of the lap tops' current models. Although the retailer previously offered discounts to consumers, Best Buy now offers discounts of up to $100.

Prices in the MacBook Pro line have also been decreased in Apple Stores as well.

The regular 13-inch MacBook Pro without Retina display now costs $1,099 -- $100 less than its original price. The laptop includes a 2.5 GHz quad-core Intel Core i5 processor, 4GB of memory and a 500GB hard drive.

The 15-inch model, with 2.5 GHz quad-core Intel Core i7 processor, 16GB of memory, 512GB of flash storage and dual graphics cards now costs $2,499, also $100 less than its original price.

It is speculated that the new MacBook Air Retina will include a 12-inch model --  a feature of the 13-inch model's performance.

Some of the key features of the upcoming MacBook Air are: 12-inch monitor with 2K screen resolution,1.35kg, 128GB or 256GB SSD, 1.4GHz Intel Core i5, 4GB RAM, 2x USB 3.0, a Mini DisplayPort / Thunderbolt 2.0, a Memory card reader and a 720p FaceTime camera.

MacBook Pro 2014 is rumored to include a touchscreen feature. The laptop will reportedly include a better battery. Apple is also expected to include the new 14-nanometer Broadwell chips from Intel on the two laptops.

Apple recently unveiled the MacBook Pro models with Retina display models;  the models will include an upgraded version of Intel Haswell processors.
